【Spring Field Trip】Visit NYCU Hospital and Yilan Cultural Exploration

2024-04-26

We had an unforgettable experience with our IHPers in Yilan. Our visit to NYCU Hospital was truly enlightening, leaving us in awe of its cutting-edge facilities and compassionate staff. With a history dating back to the Japanese colonial era, the hospital's deep roots in the community make it a cornerstone of healthcare in Yilan. Thanks to Deputy Superintendent Tsao(曹玄明副院長) and Dr. Hu(胡栢瑋副主任) 's insightful introductions, we gained insights into several enriching research projects, including the ongoing master's thesis of Tran Thi Thanh Hong, our second-year Master's student from Vietnam.

Additionally, exploring the Luodong Forestry Culture Garden and National Center for Traditional Arts offered a captivating journey through Yilan's past forestry culture and the evolution of traditional opera. The seamless blend of historic charm and innovative performances left a lasting impression, highlighting the region's rich heritage and creative spirit. It was a truly enriching experience that made our visit to Yilan truly worthwhile.
